You Took Time Out to See
Words and Music by David F. Goldstein @ Petals for Peace Productions 1978
Looking out from my chaise in the sun. It’s beating down what fun. To lie here and just thinking, wind whispering through the branches, the world going on around me. Bees buzzing while in labor, the birds singing mostly merry, cat’s sleeping while it’s sunlight, the dog rolls oh in splendor, the air feels good for breathing.
And then you know just what you feel. Cause you took time out to see, the roses and the flowers all make love to me, set me free…….**
Sky almost touching, the clouds they change my feelings, I stretch and know my boundaries, see this flesh coat that I carry, can rest here for some moments, discover other parts of our world confused and searching forgotten the pursuit of.
Say birds do you care much about money, or do you deal in worms? You’re following the sun I see, you’re dancing on branches, dance one for me.
Repeat **
