Epitaph for Humanity

And Oh how... I will miss you.
I can't comprehend the grief that I will bear, for I know not control today.
You're not really gone, are you?
Can I cope? Do I want to?
I want to be grateful..for life with you was wonderful.
Little did 1 realize how your being made me my best
How often was 1 proud just to be near you.
Always was 1 proud to be a part of you.
Yes. You gave me everything....Was I good to you?
Did I meet your expectations?
You were good to me, and you exceeded all my expectations.
1 will miss you. I do miss you. I want you.
How lucky I am to have shared with you. How lucky 1am to have been with you.
How lucky 1am to have loved with you.
And all those who have known you will miss you, will remember you, will long for
your comfort, your caring, your perceptions.
But none like I,
For I was the luckiest, and 1 will always know just how special our being was.

I will always give thanks for what was, we two,

And that shall bring me peace.
